Ultra PA-CF 3D Printing Filament Features

Ultra PA-CF (Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polyamide) is a high-performance composite material based on Ultra PA with added carbon fiber. The carbon fiber significantly improves tensile strength, flexural modulus and heat deflection temperature while reducing thermal expansion coefficient and shrinkage, providing printed parts with higher dimensional stability and anti-warping capability, making it an ideal choice for high-strength, high-rigidity structural parts.
Mechanical Properties
Tensile strength 110 MPa, flexural strength 165 MPa, flexural modulus 5500 MPa, approximately 70% rigidity improvement over neat PA. The high modulus of carbon fiber ensures minimal deformation under load, suitable for precision structural parts and high-load conditions.
Thermal Properties
Melting temperature (Tm) 235°C, heat deflection temperature (HDT B) 165°C (0.45MPa), approximately 86°C improvement over neat PA. Carbon fiber significantly reduces thermal expansion coefficient, maintaining excellent dimensional stability at elevated temperatures.
Chemical Resistance
Inherits the chemical corrosion resistance of the polyamide matrix, with good resistance to various acids, alkalis, salt solutions, oils, gasoline and other organic solvents. Carbon fiber itself has excellent chemical stability, suitable for chemically corrosive environments.

Is CreatBot Ultra PA-CF filament compatible with other brands of 3D printers?

CreatBot Ultra PA-CF uses standard 1.75mm filament with industrial-grade ±0.03mm diameter tolerance control. However, due to the abrasiveness of carbon fiber, a hardened steel nozzle or ruby nozzle must be used. The equipment must have a heated print bed (recommended 80-100°C) and an all-metal hot end capable of stably reaching 270-300°C.

What is the difference between Ultra PA-CF and Ultra PA (neat nylon)?

Ultra PA-CF is based on Ultra PA with carbon fiber reinforcement. Tensile strength increases from 69.2 MPa to 110 MPa, flexural modulus from 3202 MPa to 5500 MPa, HDT from 79°C to 165°C. Carbon fiber significantly reduces thermal shrinkage and warping.

What is the recommended printing temperature for Ultra PA-CF?
